2021 Fairway Estates Property Owner Association Annual Meeting - mail-out and mail-in format

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Fairway Estates Property Owner Association Board has unanimously decided the 2021 Annual Association Meeting will be conducted using a paper mail-out and mail-in format. This way we can eliminate the need for a public gathering to ensure the safety of our neighbors, meet the county Covid-19 requirements and still have everyone participate in the voting process on the required proposals. The realization that many Fairway Estates residents don’t have internet meeting access was a large factor in this decision.

Per the FEPOA By-Laws: Meeting in person or by proxy is permissible for voting meetings. Section 5. Proxies. At all meetings of members, each member may vote in person or by proxy. All proxies shall be in writing and filed with the secretary. Every proxy shall be revocable and shall automatically cease upon conveyance by the member of his Lot.

LETTER: KEEP FAIRWAY SAFE FOR EVERYONE

Hello friends and neighbors,

I hope you’re doing well even in the midst of these challenging circumstances.

One of the great treasures of our neighborhood is our open space and the connection to nature. We are so fortunate!

This weekend, walking around the pond, I encountered something distressing. I saw what I thought was trash, but in picking it up realized it was a full and open bag of mouse/rat poison (bait). It was between the beach and the new planter — near the little library box.

I picked it up and disposed of it. The concern is that poison like this will attract and kill ALL of the wild creatures who are seeking food right now. Dangerous too for dogs and kids.

I have no clue how it got there. It was too heavy to have been blown by the wind. I wanted to let you know and ask that we all be aware that this is a deadly substance that needs to be kept away from our natural area.

Thank you for reading this. Let’s keep our neighborhood safe for all - including the wildlife that shares our open space.

~Kathleen
